Eric Craine never set out to own a painting business.

In fact, it wasn't until he realized construction wasn't his style that he got into painting. "I hated working outside in the winter," Eric says, "so I accidentally got good at painting."

After graduating from high school in 1996, Eric Craine (Minnesota born and raised) moved to Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, and took a job with a construction company. Then brutal winter hit, and Eric started looking for a job with a more temperate climate - preferably with an option to be indoors during winter days.

In 1998, Eric landed a job with a reputable painting company and relocated to Brainerd, Minnesota. Starting as a self-proclaimed "grunt," Eric moved his way up through the company and became the Shop Manager within a couple of years. His personal desire to grow and excel, paired with his ability to call people to rise up, made him an obvious choice to lead.

Eric spent a few more years perfecting his trade. Then, in early spring 2003, Eric's phone started ringing with inquiries about painting jobs. A few side jobs turned into a side business. "I got so busy I ended up booking the whole summer," Eric says. By the time the beginning of exterior season arrived, Eric was ready to branch out and launch his own painting business — All-Ways Painting.

Almost twenty years later, All-Ways Painting has grown from a one-man show to employees on field crews and in a pre-finishing shop, with a Production Manager and Operations Manager to ensure work-days are smooth sailing for the crew and clients alike.
